SKOKIE, ILLINOIS – SPRING 2010

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

These three slides located in the Chicago metro area get a lot of hard use, and as a result were badly in need of maintenance and repairs. The exterior of the red raft slide was recoated, as was the translucent blue tube. The interior surface of all three slides were buffed and waxed after undergoing substantial gelcoat repairs. Many leaks were repaired and all seams recaulked.

Denton, Texas – Spring 2010

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Construction of this 300′ long tube slide in Denton, Texas proved to be our biggest challenge of the spring season.  The tower is 5o’ high and the slide was added to an existing park, making equipment access difficult.  We managed to get the slide operational in 11 working days.

This is a very steep slide, and it is translucent, which makes for a very exciting riding experience.

In the fall of 2009, Fischer Bros  outlasted the rain to complete a major maintenance project at this attractive Midwest waterpark.  Leaks were repaired, all seams recaulked, and several major fiberglass repairs were completed, along with painting of steel structure components and some hardware replacement.  Both slides required complete seam realignment, as the ride quality left a lot to be desired.  Both slides were also showing substantial fading, so they were completely buffed to return the original luster.  A small fiberglass themed kiddie slide onsite was also restored.
